Tencent, the operator of WeChat which has more than 100 million registered users outside of China and a widely used integrated Internet portals with messaging, entertainment, lifestyle and shopping apps and games, has selected Syniverse Enterprise Messaging Service to authenticate global end users of Tencent’s WeChat app. Syniverse Enterprise Messaging Service will deliver a one-time verification code via SMS when an end user registers with the WeChat app over his or her mobile phone. The one-time code will be delivered directly to the end user with low processing latency, subsequently allowing the user to complete the registration and activate the app.
