Software Defined Network startup, Avni partners with Citrix to deliver advanced cloud computing and network optimization capabilities that enable organizations to simplify the deployment of production environments in private or hybrid clouds. Avni offers the service via its Software Defined Cloud (SDC) platform.
According to Avni, it has completed its SDC platform integration with the application delivery controller from Citrix, NetScaler, making it Citrix Ready. The integration of SDC with Citrix’s NetScaler ADC will overcome the bottlenecks in performance and elasticity of individual apps in a large-scale cloud environment.
Avni said that web applications typically contain hundreds of discrete modules and microservices that, when connected, result in a complex mesh of business logic and data traffic. In this environment, optimizing app performance requires traffic optimization, caching, security, and acceleration – demands met by an application delivery controller such as NetScaler, added Avni.
