Vodafone Hutchison Australia (VHA) has signed an extension to its managed service contract with Nokia Networks. The 4 year extension will see Nokia Networks continuing to manage Vodafone's network including its multi-vendor paging, 2G, 3G and 4G+ networks. Nokia Networks’ managed services scope includes operations and maintenance services as well as remote network management from Nokia’s Global Delivery Center in India.
According to Nokia Networks, it will bring real-time service management from its own service management center. It added that the deal includes an industry best-practice joint transformation project to leverage technology innovation and organizational efficiencies to deliver continuous service improvement and achieve cost savings for both parties over the lifetime of the contract.
This initiative is in line with our commitment to provide the best-in-class service experience to our customers, even as we focus on evolving our infrastructure to address future capacity and coverage requirements. Nokia Networks’ service capabilities provide us with a strong platform to do this, while we continue to execute on our extensive growth plans.
VHA’s decision to extend this contract underscores its faith in our managed services capabilities and testifies to its high satisfaction of our work. Leveraging on our knowledge base and the expertise of our global delivery centers, we will continue to improve VHA’s network quality and operational efficiency at reduced operational cost.
