Sercomtel, a telecommunications company from Paraná State, Brazil, has selected Ericsson’s SSR 8010 solution, the 4th-generation IP solutions and part of Ericsson's Multi-Service Packet Backbone (MPBN) solution to manage broadband users, aiming to modernize the management and control of its network through a smart router.
Ericsson said that the solution which is deployed for the first time in Brazil is supported by Ericsson’s IP experts.
The SSR 8010 router that runs on its IP Operating System (IPOS), a key component of Ericsson’s fourth-generation IP network solution portfolio, enables fixed and mobile network convergence, providing IP backhaul aggregation for 2G, 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi and fixed access traffic.
Sercomtel achieved the highest scores in the Survey on Perceived Quality of Prepaid and Post-paid Cell Phone Services, published in June 2014 by Anatel (Brazil’s National Telecommunications Agency), according to a statement by Ericsson.
