Yota, a leading LTE mobile broadband provider in Russia has implemented Procera's Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) solution for complex dynamic traffic management to improve end users' quality of service. The project which started with a pilot implementation in St. Petersburg by Jet Infosystems, a Russian  information technology company, will enable Yota to analyze the structure and the traffic flows to be able to optimally reallocate bandwidth between services. It is necessary for Yota to implement the DPI technology to avoid network congestion and as a preventative measure against increasing traffic volumes due to higher subscriber usage.

Jet Infosystems' software, Jet Subscriber Manager (JSM) combines the analytics from the DPI and PCRF to enable the latest information about the network status to be used for better congestion control.

"The new facility will significantly improve the provision of service to subscribers and dynamically adapt to the current state of the network infrastructure, - summed up the CTO Yota Andrey Nesterov. - Using the Internet has become more comfortable. At the same time we were able to abandon the constant expansion of external communication channels, increase network capacity, which generally allowed to reduce capital costs. "

"The relationship between the different types of content can be changed (as in some regions, and as a whole), then the operator periodically introduces new tariff proposals, - said the director of business development company "Jet Infosystems" Andrew Yashin. - In this se requires regular adjustments created algorithms, so today we are continuing to work with Yota regarding optimization scenarios Internet access.
