SmarTone, a mobile service provider based in Hong Kong, has selected Symsoft SMS Firewall to enhance the quality of text messaging services for its subscribers. According to Symsoft, the SMS Firewall that was deployed end of last year, will allow the operator to enhance service quality by efficiently stopping such messages before they reach the subscriber. It will also enable the enterprise messages that are sent to subscribers to be routed over legitimate channels which allow the operator to charge for termination.
“At SmarTone, we always strive to offer a more valuable experience to our customers. The new SMS Firewall solution from Symsoft enables us to safeguard our customers from receiving spam or unsolicited messages with its filtering capability, and offer superior text messaging experience to our customers”, says Stephen Chau, CTO at SmarTone.
“We are proud that SmarTone in Hong Kong has chosen to partner with Symsoft in order to to reduce text messaging spam and thus grow operator revenue from Enterprise Messaging. The combination of the Symsoft SMS Firewall, our Firewall Update Service and our in depth knowledge of the Enterprise Messaging business provides a uniqueness in the market that cannot be provided by any other vendor. We are confident that SmarTone will utilize this edge to the full potential in order raise revenue and to provide their customers with a superior service”, says Petter Näslund, Vice President Sales Europe & Asia at Symsoft.
