Opera Skyfire found that mobile video quality in five major smartphone markets - the United States, Brazil, Russia, India and Indonesia still pose problems to Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) and customers. Based on Opera Skyfire's global data on mobile video network loads, extensive bandwidth test data from wireless network authority OpenSigna and On Device Research consumer survey, the consumer dissatisfaction and stalling rates range between 40% and 73%. Mobile video stalling and buffering are effecting the customers in India most with a dissatisfaction and stalling rate of 73.3%, measured across 2G, 3G and LTE networks, in a market where smartphone generated mobile data traffic is projected to reach 82% by 2018. In general, LTE networks promise better video delivery across all regions, with some places such as US recording a dissatisfaction and stalling rate of only 18%, against the average of all its networks which stands at 40.8%.
