The huge increase in smartphones, smart devices, and associated applications, require new thinking in terms of controlling the access and traffic within the telecoms network. Effective Policy and Charging  Control through the deployment of Diameter Signalling is becoming an absolute requirement to guarantee cost-effective and efficient delivery of data services, and to minimise risk from increasing traffic loading.

This programme explores the drivers, operation and deployment options of advanced Policy and Charging Control using the Diameter Protocol, as well as the impact on the network and interaction with existing signalling systems.
