Facebook is going on a promotional tour for its newly launched FbStart, the social network giant's program aimed at supporting startups by kicking off a tour across 10 cities in the US and Europe. The FbStart program provides assistance to app developers by offering them free tools and services that will help mobile developers build, grow & monetize apps.
According to Facebook, its engineers and product managers will be providing guidance and support across all the stages of app development, whether it’s building, growing or monetizing apps, including free tools and services to help with everything the developers will need to get their apps up and running.
According to Facebook, more than 1,000 startups have joined the program since they launched it at Facebook f8 (pronounced "eff eight"), its mostly-annual conference intended for developers and entrepreneurs who build products and services around the website.
The company said that they have more than doubled the value of services that new startups can receive — now up to $63,000 for Accelerate companies, and $24,000 for Bootstrap companies.
