The ICT division of NTT, NTT DATA, last week released the latest version of its integrated operation management software, Hinemos 5.0. Hinemos is a popular open source software in Japan, used to manage operations of multiple computers. The latest release introduces 'Infrastructure Automation', in addition to the existing 'Job Management' and 'System Monitoring' functions to automate the initial environment setup and configuration to enable users to better implement DevOps in their business.
In addition, the new release also boasts the new 'Auto Device Scan' function, allowing users to automate the manual update operations for system changes. This new function tracks the device changes to servers in the environment and will automatically update the changes. With this new function, users can reduce the operating costs, especially in some frequently changed environments such as cloud environments, said NTT Data.
According to NTT DATA, Hinemos which was introduced in 2005 has been used in over 700 enterprises systems in Japan and overseas. NTT DATA added that with its comprehensive management functionalities, Hinemos aims to help reduce operating costs for users planning to implement virtual and cloud computing infrastructures for their businesses.
