Sri Lanka Telecom Adopts Netcracker's End-to-End Revenue Management System

Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT),  leading broadband and backbone infrastructure service provider that delivers quad-play services to consumers covering 4G LTE, FTTx, Wi-Fi hotspots and carrier grade Wi-Fi technology, upgrades its existing NetCracker billing and mediation environment to NetCracker’s next-generation billing, rating and active mediation solutions.

As part of the transformation project, NetCracker said that it will upgrade SLT's current infrastructure to the next-generation rating, charging, billing and mediation with components from its leading-edge Digital Business Platform. NetCracker will also consolidate SLT’s two existing NetCracker mediation systems onto its innovative Active Mediation platform. This will enable SLT to introduce a range of new pricing, rating and billing configurations that address emerging digital business models, the growing demand for transactional digital services and the need for personalized customer experience.

According to Netcraker, the new solution will be integrated with a number of SLT’s existing BSS systems to create seamless, end-to-end revenue management processes and strengthen SLT’s go-to-market capabilities for new services and bundles as well custom enterprise and wholesale agreements.

"NetCracker is a longstanding partner for Sri Lanka Telecom and provides us with the solutions we need to bring our revenue management infrastructure to the forefront of the digital business revolution, which will invariably help us to play a leadership role in realizing the country’s vision of a SMART Sri Lanka. NetCracker’s unparalleled delivery record and strong solution suite makes it the logical choice to transform our billing, rating and mediation capabilities across our consumer, enterprise and global wholesale lines of business. This will ultimately lead to a superior delivery of our services resulting in an enhanced customer experience.

- Lalith de Silva, Group Chief Executive Officer, Sri Lanka Telecom

The shift toward an end-to-end, next-generation architecture is a sign of an emerging trend that NetCracker is not only witnessing but is enabling for our innovative customers around the world. We are excited to help Sri Lanka Telecom embrace this movement and monetize its digital business by using leading-edge revenue and transaction management solutions.”This amazing speed record shows that Nokia continues to maintain its position as a clear throughput leader in the TD-LTE arena. Operators worldwide can be confident in our capability to tackle the increasing demands for not only faster download but also data upload speeds.”

- Ganesh Balasubramanium, Vice President APAC and Middle East, Netcraker
