Telkom Indonesia Deploys ZTE DWDM/OTN Solution for Java Backbone Network Upgrade

Telkom Indonesia, the largest telecommunications provider in Indonesia has selected ZTE Corporation for backbone network upgrade in Java to deliver a 10-fold capacity increase in most of the network and to deliver a superior user experience to subscribers.

ZTE’s deploys converged dense wavelength division multiplexing/optical transport (DWDM/OTN) solution, ZXWM M920 DWDM system which will help Telkom Indonesia to upgrade their Java backbone network from 10 gigabits per second (10G) to next-generation 100G. 

According to a statement by ZTE, the deployment spans the island of Java from West Java to East Java and connects all major cities on the island. ZTE’s solution will enable Telkom Indonesia to maximize the value of their investment by lowering total cost of ownership, delivering high flexibility, scalability and expansibility.
