Dialogic releases enhanced version of I-Gate® 4000 PRO and EDGE Media Gateways, expanding the ability of communication service providers (CSPs) to differentiate their offerings and lower the cost of delivering high quality voice services.to an industry leading I-Gate® line of modern media gateways. The latest releases also enable service providers to increase flexibility through IP-to-IP transcoding and to offer more cost-effective advanced services such as HD Voice across multiple user devices including smartphones and tablets.
According to Dialogic, the I-Gate 4000 PRO and EDGE Media Gateways continue to redefine the modern gateway by providing an open and reliable platform compatible with a wide array of vendor switching technologies, along with unparalleled voice quality and support for newer high definition voice services. In addition, their IP-to-IP transcoding capabilities enable service providers to connect to a broad range of different networks and convert between a variety of audio formats.
“CSPs are asking us for modern gateways that can help them keep pace with their transformation from next generation networks to IMS, and make that transition easy,” said Jim Machi, vice president of product management for Dialogic. “For instance, service providers want to gear up their networks to offer new and differentiated services like HD Voice and position their networks for WebRTC, and our I-Gate PRO customers can simply do a software upgrade to obtain the new codecs such as HD Voice. Second, they want to economize their CAPEX and OPEX spend on voice infrastructure. The I-Gate 4000 family can optimize voice up to 93 percent, yet keep exceptional voice quality, enabling legacy T1 and E1 voice circuits to be taken out of service. And finally, they want an open and reliable solution that can connect to a variety of Class 4 softswitches to help them get the most out of their existing infrastructure without compromising network availability.”
