Telstra's T-Box Customers can now enjoy their favourite shows from Channel 7 including the popular "The X Factor", "Home & Away" and "Winners and Losers". This follows Telstra's recent announcement of its partnership with Yahoo7, a joint partnership between Seven West Media Group and Yahoo Inc. The partnership between Telstra and Yahoo7 will introduce more free-to-air content on Telstra's T-Box service which delivers on-demand content to T-Box customers.

According to a statement from both companies, the partnership will see the T-Box Catch Up TV menu now featuring PLUS7, Australia's leading advertising supported catch-up TV service. PLUS7 boasts 6.5 million streams every month, said the statement with customers accessing its content on various platforms including the web, mobile, tablet and HBBTV.

Telstra's T-Box service is enabled by the T-Box digital set-top box and personal video recorder that enables customers to record, pause and rewind free-to-air TV content. By connecting T-Box to the high-speed home broadband service, customers are also able to access rented movies and TV episodes and add premium content such as Foxtel channels on monthly subscription, with the content being available on multiple devices, including mobile devices.

As multi-screen streaming becomes increasingly popular, the IPTV service that is made available across multiple platforms has a clear advantage over cable and satellite services. By enriching and enhancing the content choices available on IPTV services, service providers are strenghtening their value proposition - and at the same time, if they were to bundle their IPTV content on their mobile data services, they will be able to tap into the fast growing demand for mobile content, in particular for premium mobile video services.

Jonathan Steel, Director – Business Development and Partnerships, Yahoo7
Yahoo7 is focused on giving audiences access to our premium content wherever and whenever they want. This new partnership will let Telstra T-Box users stream Channel 7 programs on PLUS7 easily from their TV to make sure they never miss an episode of their favourite show.

Telstra Director IPTV and Pay TV Eric Kearley
The arrival of PLUS7 on the T-Box is part of Telstra’s ongoing plans to bring more free to air content to our T-Box customers. Our partnership with Yahoo7 means T-Box users can watch some of their favourite Channel 7 and 7mate shows when they want, giving extra flexibility and convenience for times when it’s not possible to watch them live.
