Airbiquity Adds Slacker Radio and Stitcher Airbiquity Adds Slacker Radio and Stitcher Airbiquity WebShot

Airbiquity adds yet another 2 leading connected car infotainment services to its Choreo cloud-based platform. Slacker Radio and Stitcher are the two latest content providers to join the Airbiquity family. Slacker Radio provides free and subscription-based access to milions of songs and hundreds of DJ-programmed stations on mobile devices and via the web while Stitcher delivers personalized audio programming on demand which enables users to create their own audio content streams from a choice of over 20,000 shows and live stations. Stitcher is also available for iPhone, iPad, Android, Kindle and Nook devices.

Airbiquity's Choreo Platform is used by leading auto-makers including the likes of Nissan which has deployed Airbiquity's Choreo services across most of its car models. Just last month, Airbiquity onboarded Yelp and Reuters onto its platform that already boasts big brands in the segment including Google Send-to-Car search; TripAdvisor, iHeartRadio, Pandora, TuneIn, Facebook , Twitter and others.

Connected Car infotainment platforms such as Choreo are part of the bigger IP-based content market, where players are producing, delivering and aggregating the best content for end consumers and delivering these content on multiple end devices - smartphones, tablets, connected TV, smarthome interfaces, laptops, wearables, in-vehicle digital screens and any other connected digital displays that stream IP-based content on either Wi-Fi or cellular connections. Players such as Airbiquity provide their clients including mobile network operators a wide range of pre-selected content that they can choose and integrate into their service offerings for subscribers.

"Terrestrial radio simply can’t provide the wide range of listener choice and customization that Internet radio can, and an increasing number of listeners are connected car drivers that expect safe and familiar access to Internet radio while driving their cars. Extending our brand and listening experience to the growing connected car audience is important to Slacker. Working with Airbiquity and their automotive industry customers helps us accomplish this goal.”

-         Steve Cotter, SVP of Business Development, Slacker Radio

"Slacker and Stitcher are recognized leaders in their categories and we are excited to bring their streaming content to our automotive customers. We’re working hard to provide our customers with the broadest range of global and regional content for their connected car programs while helping content providers like Slacker and Stitcher extend their brands and unique user experiences into the vehicle.”

-            Scott Frank, Vice President of Marketing at Airbiquity
