GENBAND, a leading developer of multimedia and cloud communications solutions, announced the launch of the Innovation Exchange™, a collaborative business and technology exchange that fosters innovation by bringing to market holistic and vertical solutions that meet demanding customer requirements through the synergies of world-class members.

"The Innovation Exchange brings together Fortune 500 organizations, such as IBM, Intel, and Samsung Mobile with smaller, entrepreneurial companies to address operators’ critical needs by rapidly developing, testing and deploying new solutions leveraging GENBAND’s smart networking and unified communications technology. GENBAND and its Innovation Exchange members are closely collaborating to unleash innovative and fully integrated smart solutions to address the demand from global service providers."

"The Innovation Exchange is a select community that brings together many of the best companies and start-ups in the industry to unlock the power of IP and deliver the breakthrough solutions that our customers are seeking – from the core, to the edge, to the experience,” said Sam Waicberg, Chief Marketing Officer for GENBAND. “Far different from typical application development communities and unlike anything in existence today, IX is a comprehensive business collaboration exchange and innovation community designed to help expand the reach and value of our customers into new revenue opportunities."

"Our customers depend on GENBAND to continue to push the envelope by developing and bringing to market innovative, evolutionary and transformative Smart solutions that will ultimately drive more value and help them improve the user experience,” said Charlie Vogt, President and CEO of GENBAND.  “The Innovation Exchange is a growth engine, not just for GENBAND, but for our customers and partner members as well.  In the short time from inception to our current launch we have more than 50 active engagements as a result of the innovation and collaboration among the members of the Exchange."

"By creating a strategic business and technology exchange that leverages GENBAND’s multimedia platform on Samsung Mobile devices, we are helping to drive productivity and efficiencies in businesses large and small,” said Tim Wagner, Vice President and General Manager, Enterprise Business Unit at Samsung Mobile USA. “We are pleased to be one of the initial members of IX, playing an active role in driving new innovations on our highly desirable, enterprise-ready smartphones and tablets"

"Collaborating with GENBAND, Samsung Mobile and others through the Exchange enables us to deliver leading edge, intelligent solutions that are truly ground breaking,” said Joe Jensen, General Manager, Retail Solutions Division, Intel. “Being a part of this dynamic community allows us to team with other market-leading organizations to combine our unique, best-in-class capabilities to drive and deliver on the intelligent innovation that our customers are demanding."
