Pluribus Networks, a software-defined networking (SDN) startup, Tuesday announced its participation in the Internet2 Global Summit which will take place from the April 26th to 30th in Washington, D.C. Internet2 is a non-profit community comprised of 252 U.S. universities and more than 65 national research and education networks representing more than 100 countries.

Pluribus Networks is showing a variety of capabilities allowing network administrators to effectively cope with new age security issues, including network virtualization and segmentation, allowing services such as student, faculty, funded research, and physical security traffic to be securely delivered over the same infrastructure and network analytics built into the Pluribus Netvisor platform, providing even brownfield network operators deep visibility into network usage and trends without the need for expensive external TAPs or additional analytics networks. The company will also showcase integration with third-party security and content delivery systems enabling a variety of capabilities, including effective response to DCMA take down notices.
