Mauritius Telecom (MT), a leading telecommunications operator and service provider in Mauritius has selected Alepo, a leading provider of network and IT software solutions for global Communications Service Providers (CSPs) to upgrade its existing convergent billing and customer care platform to enable rapid service innovation and broader customer care capabilities on its fixed broadband network.

According to Alepo, MT has successfully completed a significant system upgrade to Alepo Service Enabler (SE) 8, including Alepo’s AAA Infrastructure. As a result, MT is able to deliver more advanced and flexible data offers to its rapidly growing subscriber base while achieving a significant reduction in OPEX. With the deployment of Alepo SE 8, MT gains real-time capabilities, such as the ability to enforce fair use policies and to offer “Bandwidth on Demand” to subscribers, allowing them to purchase a temporary boost in bandwidth speed whenever they need it most. MT can also send automatic SMS and email messages to subscribers, such as low balance alerts, said Alepo.

Devendra Utchanah, Executive Head, Network and Information Systems of Mauritius Telecom
With the upgrade to Alepo SE 8, we can better serve our customers with real-time communications, data promotions, and service delivery. As one of our longest-standing technology partners, Alepo continues to deliver solutions and expertise that support our evolving marketplace. As part of the SE 8 framework, Alepo implemented its billing and customer management platform, as well as its other BSS modules: product catalogue, reporting engine, and Web Self Care portal. Alepo also delivered many professional services, including all data migration for a database upgrade, systems integration with multiple third-party systems, onsite installation and training, and ongoing monitoring and support.

Dan Stern, Vice President of Sales at Alepo
Time after time, MT has demonstrated strong leadership and foresight in delivering the most advanced and competitive data offerings to subscribers in Mauritius. We are proud of our partnership with MT, and we look forward to working with the company for many years to come.
