Huawei and JCDecaux, a large outdoor advertising company have established a technical cooperation to combine both companies’ core competencies and drive 'crowd-sourcing' small cell deployment globally. The collaboration will enable Huawei to leverage JCDecaux's extensive portfolio of assets in city centers, airports, transport environments or shopping malls and tap on JCDecaux's site resources and expertise in site design and installation for their small cell deployment projects.

According to Huawei, its “Crowd-Sourcing Small Cell” deployment model allows site owners to participate in the ecosystem to help mobile operators to lower deployment costs and speed up its process, effectively establishing a new business model. This will increase the number of small cell deployments by operators, enabling them to quickly expand their coverage in a particular area. At the same time, operators will be able to lower their small cell deployment costs and bring better mobile services and an enhanced experience to users globally.
