Ericsson has entered into a five-year global framework agreement with Telenor Group to provide mobile base stations and professional services, covering the rollout of 2G, 3G and 4G technologies. Ericsson will be providing its multi-standard (GSM, WCDMA and LTE) RBS6000 family of base stations, including installation, operational support, hardware and software support, and maintenance services.
Ericsson said that it is present today in all high-traffic LTE markets including the US, Japan, South Korea, Australia and Canada, and has also been selected by the top 10 LTE operators, as ranked by LTE subscriptions worldwide.
