Encore Networks, a leader in M2M solutions for fixed and wireless communications, has launched a new wireless VPN router, the EN-2000™ at the M2M Evolution Conference and Expo that was held at the Rio in Las Vegas from August 13-14. The EN-2000 that comes only with LTE embedded module which is expected to consume less power than the traditional dual radio 4G/3G modules, is priced at USD285.
Chantilly, Virginia based Encore said that the new ‘cloud ready’ VPN router is designed for high-availability M2M applications in fixed or portable locations supporting business continuity, video surveillance, digital signage and remote access on both the public or private Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network.
Enterprise customers can use 4G LTE as a primary or back-up connection, eliminating the high costs of traditional wired networks and associated challenges including install times and outages, said Encore.
“The global M2M market is expanding at a rapid pace with no end in sight. As the rate of adoption for M2M technologies grow exponentially I anticipate Encore will keep pace as a majority of these connections will require low cost, low power, high performance routers.”
