Dali Wireless Unveils Virtual RAN Solution

Dali Wireless, a global provider of the advanced all-digital RF Router™, unveiled on Monday High Density System (HDS™) with the capability to support up to 10Gbps / 300MHz thoughput, delivering  flexible coverage of DAS with small footprint of a pico-cell. The HDS transforms any radio frequency signals from base stations into IP, CPRI, or IP/CPRI-like packets to allow “any-to-any RF routing” within a software-defined virtualized radio distribution network.

According to HDS, the solution which is technology, vendor-, and band-agnostic can allocate coverage and capacity dynamically and simultaneously, making it suitable for high density urban deployments. It added that the ability to allocate resources on a need basis allows best utilization of the scarce spectrum, maintaining superior quality of delivery as well as excellent end-user experience, especially across locations and venues which have sudden surges in demand, for example, train stations, stadiums and hotels.
Dali highlighted that by pooling capacity together, and routing it to where and when capacity is needed enables venue owners as well as enterprise customers to manage their network needs without unnecessary investments while also preserving the aesthetics of their premises and environments.
M Prushothma Rao, PCCMB's founder and telecommunications senior expert will cover the story in more detail in the Exclusive Series featuring an interview with Dali Wireless' CTO and Co-Founder, Shawn Stapleton.

HDS is uniquely different from both conventional analog and digital systems. HDS is built upon a decade worth of patented digital signal processing, proprietary RF power amplifiers and advanced networking technologies; rather than incrementally building on current DAS concepts.  This puts Dali’s customers in a position to maximize ROIs in this rapidly evolving telecommunications ecosystem. HDS is a differentiator for our customers to monetize trends now and in the future.”
